We are experienced in Tourism/travel around the Cairns region, we can organize day trips or multi day trips, accommodation, other day tours, off-the-beaten track activities, community service projects, and we can completely customize our bus…
Mission Beach is situated just two hours south of Cairns… Its a beautiful community within the Cassowary Coast, very passionate about their slice of paradise, the cassowaries and the tropical lifestyle.
Here in the quaint town of Mission Beach you can expect cheap drinks, good eats, unreal views of the rainforest, islands and views out towards the reef. It’s laid back friendly, fairly small and devided between south mission and central mission.
They have rafting tours from here (check out Wildside Adventures), Great Barrier Reef Tours (Mission Beach Dive Centre) and transfers over to Dunk Island where you can hike to the lookout or snorkel the fringing reef (also Mission Beach Dive Centre).
Whilst this destination is more of a self drive route, we are the only company that offers day tours to Mission Beach return.
We work with tour operators that support the Great Barrier Reef and/or the Wet Tropics Rainforests, strive for Eco-friendly excursions / Sustainable Tourism.
Check out Caroline and Micks video below of Mission Beach and surrounds, featuring Castaways resort, ingan tours & Calypso.

Great Barrier Reef Tours:
Mission Beach Dive Centre runs Great Barrier Reef tours every second day departing at 8:30am or 9am.
A mooring is a concrete block placed in the ocean at one of the many reef sites, the block has a line upto the surface with a floating bouy at the surface… A boat then drives up to the moorning line and ties the boat to usually 2-4 mooring lines.
Boats that have moorings, mean they usually have a variety of choices the skipper makes, as to which mooring he will use at which location.
People swim off the back of the boat, in a 90′ angle in the lifeguards view. This is in open ocean water, so it is recommended to have basic knowledge of swimming, for those that don’t it’s suggested to make the crew aware and they can provide floatation devices and some offer to take you with them, so you can see the reef.
For those that prefer land than ocean, islands are a great option as they offer land, independance & more flexibility.
From Mission Beach you have Dunk Island as a full day or half day option, or they run and island exploring tour every friday for 3 hours. You can also stay overnight at Bedarra Island for the ultimate luxury island escape.
Whilst the islands surrounding Mission Beach are not considered as part of the “Great Barrier Reef”, they do have a fringing reef surrounding the island and you can choose to Snorkel.
Mission Beach Central:
This is a small quaint village style central meeting point, easily bikeable around the area, and a bunch of really cute beachy shops with cool little nick nack items… Then you have a few eateries and the pub for a few drinks. This is definately one of those towns you visit where you relax, have a bevy and enjoy everything life has to offer.
South Mission Beach:
Most of the buses will stop/pass through here, the supermarket is in walking distance, the beach not too far, few accommodation places and also your departure point for the Great Barrier Reef or Dunk Island (both worth checking out!)
Group Travel to Mission Beach:
For those more independant travel groups Mission Beach is perfect and there is a number of airbnbs catering to groups up to 16 people. Rafting, Great Barrier Reef, Skydiving and Dunk Island are the main attractions to experience when here and we can help you with that!
C4 is attached to the Mission Beach Tourism Centre and a great place to check out what they are doing to support the local surroundings, wildlife, planting and the community …
